AKG 501

AKG 501 is on of headphone that not production again of AKG. There is 3 version of 501. And in these review is latest production or version 3.
The characteristic is very flat with sweet vocal, but the vocal in MS-1 more better, more airy, more soul. It is not headphone for bass lover. You must have a amp with more power to drive this headphone. More better if you use desktop headphone amp. But ipod shuffle first gen can have enough power to drive it. Tube desktop amp is very good amp to drive it. You can get more "soul" in vocal with tube amp.
