Yesterday my friend come and bring Transparent Ultra IC. Chance to testing more expensive cable :D.

In the same setup, playing "Matilda" from Henry Belafonte. With the transparent cable, vocal more forward, soundstage is huge, trebel more clear but not fatique. Salut for this cable. We change the song, with the susan wong's fly me to the moon. Oh my God, sound's character is change, very musical, gitar in this song is very2 clear. Transparent cable really neutral, depending on your song.
With this price about twice from marigo you can get sound quality better with marigo. Buy thi cable if you have a lot of money, but i can swear, you can't dissapointed with this performance

Phonak Audeo PFE 112

Finally i buy IEM. For long time i dont heard from IEM because IEM can't fit with IEM. My ears hole size is to small. This packet contain, IEM, small bag, 3 size eartips, tool, replacement sound filter and comply foam.

I connect this IEM with my new ipod shuffel 1st gen. This IEM burn-in about 20 hours. My first impression is sound characthers is bright, detail, less bass, and forward in vocal. PFE 112 good for jazz, country or other song with more vocal. Im not recomended this IEM for basshead. This seal is not enought good, i can heard less sounds from outside. But for range price about $160, this IEM is superb, buy it if you happy with vocal, high detail.

Acapella Silvercabe Interconnect

After long time i use Marigo Interconnect, i got change to try acapella interconnect. My friend give it to me to testing in my home audio system. Price in my country in second hand condition about USD 700 / pair in 1 meter each.

My system to testing this cable :
- Oracle turntable
- Blue Circle phonostage
- Blue Circle galatea pre-amp
- Jadis JA100 power amp
- Burmester Rondo
- Susan Wong - Close to you album
- Henry Belafonte - Matilda
- Opus 3 - Depth of Image

My first impression is bass more control and deep, no boomy, vocal and high more detail and more forward. For my ears, this cable give my system more open and dinamic, and for instrument this cable is very very good. In vocal this cable is good but for me not very musical, i heard sibilance and too fast tempo. This cable burn about 400 hours. I recomended this cable for poeple who like instrument. Now i try to review ones of the important thing that be connected with electricity signal. This is a power distributor.

One prime job from the power distributor is to distribute electricity signal from source to the your home audio system. But not only that, this power distributor must repair the electricity signal if signal from source is no good, so electricy which distribute to the audio sysytem more stabel, more better.
In this time i get power distributor from Marigo Audio Labs. Before use this power distributor, i direct connected my home audio system to the source.
After use this power distributor, i get much different than before, once is the bass more deep, and more control, vocal heard more detail and sound staging more wider.
I recomend this power distributor to pair with your home audio system

How can power cord affect in sound quality ?

Lagu pertama tes, wahhh.. saya benar2 surprise, kualitas suara benar2 meningkat drastis.

BW picture

<img style="display:block; Now i will post how to setup your own turntable. This tip given by Mr Iwan Ariawan in avifans@yahoogroups.com, thanks to him.

Tips to setup cartridge turntable :

1. Overhang setup, is the position cartridge in tone arms. Setting can do it with protactor. Some turntable give protacter in package. If you dont have, you must buy or free download in www.vynilengine.com

2. Azimuth setup, is the right left position from cartridge, can do it with protactor too. The rule is left and right side frm cartridge must be parallel with guide lines in protactor.

3. VTF ( vertical tracking force ) setup or weight the needle, Most appropriate if the scale needle use, especially if the burden on the tone arm weighing no instructions. Besides weighed, checked also use ears. In turntable or system with high sensitivity, 0.05 gram differences can change the sounds. Dont use VTF more than fabrique recomendation, because can make cartridge suspension broken.

4. VTA ( vertical tracking angle ) setup, the principles is tone arms must parallel with PH surface. The problem is surface from PH is different. Ideally each PH have different setup, but it make much problem. Compromi is use 180 gram PH, so VTA can fit in 200 gram or 150 gram PH. Check with your ears, differences after VTA setup. If VTA change, cartridge must be weighted again. Because change of VTA can change VTF.

5. If catridge setup is done, check speed play turntable. In belt drive, speed can manage with distance manage between turntable motor to turntable. Check speed with strobo disc. In good speed, square or lines in strobo disc looks dwile in one place.

Thanks to Mr Iwan Ariwan, who gives this tips

Sony Alpha A200

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 305px; height: 320px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_76XRYxvJrLw/SRH3jaQHP9I/AAAAAAAAAF4/txXvFGf2Pog/s320/sony-alpha-a200-flash-450.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5265261627087208402" />
Sony Alpha A200 is the entry level DSLR from Sony to replace the legendary Alpha A100. Manley Stingray has two mode operation. It is Triode Mode and Ultra linear mode.

There are so much feature in this amp, like subwoofer out, recorded out and tape loop. But for this time, im only review The Stingray in audiophile function.
Power output from The Stingray is 20W each channel for ultra linear mode and 40W each channel for triode mode. User can change this mode by switching in back panel from this amp.
The Stingray use 8 x EL84 ships with Russian NOS EL84M (aka 6Pi14Pi-EB) for the Output power tube, 2 x 6414 Ships with GE or RAYTHEON JAN NOS USA or 6414W for the driver tube and 2 x 12AT7EH Ships with: 12AT7EH large plate Electro-Harmonix Russian for the input tube. The Stingray has 4 input RCA.
About the sound, Stingray has fast dinamic, bright, and energic sound characther, like rock n roll music. The biggest point plus from Manley Stingray is the build quality. This amp is pretty good looking, with hexagonal body and simetric tube location.

Cary Audio Design 805 AE ( Anniversary Edition ) power amplifier

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 300px; height: 200px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_76XRYxvJrLw/SQ2Lu3c5imI/AAAAAAAAAFg/5Jy7XST2Rdk/s320/CAD805AE.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5264017176741382754" />
Cary Audio Desing build CAD 805 AE with 50 watts per channel, Pure Class A Single Ended Triode Mono Blocks.

Tube used in CAD 805 AE is dual 6SN7 input stage, 300B driver stage tube, includes both 845 and 211 output tubes. This power need around 10-15 mnt to warming this tube.
For it test i use 845 tube for my output power tube. My impression is this power amp is very very smooth, im very like for vocal produce, this is so much sweet vocal, detil is good buat no harsh, when singer scream it not make ears fatique, very sweet vocal. Bass from this CAD 805 is good, not too deep, more control, treble detail is good too.
This is the sweetest combination between speaker and power amp, im very like this combination. If you want to sweet vocal, mid and very relax sound, maybe this combination can interested u. DAAD is the Diffusion Absorption Acoustic Devices, designed and manufactured in Italy by Acustica Applicata, along with Auralex Acoustics sound control products. I found it in Audio Society's room. This acoustic tool to increase sound stage from your hoom audio room and control the bass. Audio Society use Nola speaker in this exhibition. DAAD give wonderfull affect in sound reproduction. With this, the sound looks great, bass control, vocal still in centre between speaker and sound staging open wide. Before i heard with my ears i can't believe, but now i believe DAAD can give wonderfull affect in acoustic room. With price you must buy for DAAD ( each about $600, depending on size you need ), im sure you not dissapointed to this performance.

Tips to setup your home audio room

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_76XRYxvJrLw/SQQJeFJ2VEI/AAAAAAAAAEw/G3SkxoptFRc/s320/DSC00070.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5261340677059793986" />
If you have high end home audio, you must have good setup your room to your home audio. Because good setup can make your home audio system heard better.

Now i want to share my experience when i setup my hoe audio room.

1. Match the size from your audio room with your speaker, bookself speaker usually no good if you take this to the big room, vice versa. My room is about 4,5m x 6m x 3,5mtr to place my Burmester Rondo MKII speaker. Its small floorstanding speaker, but i can take the Diapason Adamante III and Stella Melody, bookself speaker, to my room too.

2. Dont take acoustic tool too much, such as difuser, absorber, ext. Its important, but if you take too much to your audio room, it can make the sound "death".

3. Place the tube trap in corner in each corner to control bass and reduce the standing wave.
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_76XRYxvJrLw/SQQKvYIevQI/AAAAAAAAAE4/P_IrxMpASBI/s320/DSC00057.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5261342073723731202" />

4. Dont place difuser to the centre back between the speaker, it can make your mid or vocal very laid back.

5. To make mid still in centre between speaker, try to place some wood panel in back from the speaker, i use white wood to build this, not too hard, but not too soft.

6. I make my room high and askew in top back to make live characther.

7. I take tube absorber beside the speaker to control mid and vocal

8. I use carpet between sweet spot and speaker to reduce echo from this room.

Remeber, its only tips, no absolute, you must try yourself to get best setup for your own home audio room.

Little Dot MKIII in pre-amp mode

Beside this function in tube desktop headamp, little dot MKIII can be a pre-amp to. Of course you must have power amp to connect Little Dot MKIII to the speaker in your home audio.

To operate Little Dot MKIII to pre-amp is very simple. Connect the rca output to your power amp and done. Nothing else, just do it. Ok, now about this character from this amp if in pre-amp mode. I try to connect it to the CDP Maranzt ( i forgot the model ), DIY power amp an Yamaha speaker. I compare this amp to the DIY pre-amp. Characther is very soft, low speed dinamic and sweet vocal. I suggest this amp to slowly music like, easy jazz, country. maybe this pre-amp not match if you playing music with fast speed, like rock, new age, music with high detail. Remember if you operate this amp to pre-amp dont forget to unplug headphone, because its affect to sound.

Sony Ericsson C702

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 278px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_76XRYxvJrLw/SQAUImC-AkI/AAAAAAAAAEo/xE2rXE5kWlo/s320/c702_1.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5260226502653248066" />
I choose Sony Ericsson C702 to replace my old phone, Sony Ericsson K618i bussines phone. Sony Ericsson C702 is cyberhot and GPS phone.

There is much facility from this phone, such as, Camera 3,2MP autofocus, GPS receiver, send to blog, ext. Sony Ericsson claim C702 is water and dust resistant, but i warning dont try to trowing this phone to sand or water. Camera from C702 is good enough if you tak picture in outdoor with much light. In indoor with less light, picture not good, too much noise.If you want to better camera phone i suggest to bauy Sony Ericsson K770 There is GPS receiver from C702, so you can tracking your position in this world with software, like google maps, trackbuddy, Nav4all, ext. A-GPS can help you to connect yo the satelit faster. Sony Ericsson support HSDPA connectivity too. Stock fimware if you get R3BA version firmware is no good, too slowly, sometimes freeze. Get the update with SEUS to R3CA firmware version, or the newest R3DA. For this range price this is good phone if you want GPS, HSDPA and camera with autofocus in one phone.

Blue Circle BC-3 Galatea pre amplifier

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_76XRYxvJrLw/SPxYdmFritI/AAAAAAAAAEM/QBKZnAxwY4c/s320/DSC00064.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5259175730325719762" />
Blue Circle is the high end audio manufacturing located in Canada. BC3 Galatea paired with with the new deluxe BCG3.1 power supply, to increase purity from the power supply signal. BC3 Galatea has option to choose input signal. Output terminal using RCA and XLR. This amp use 6922 tube 2 pair. BC3 Galatea not soldering component to the PCB, but they use point to point soldering with high quality soldering. Character from this pre-amp is very neutral, no fatigue, good separation. Beside to increase amplitudo signal, gain can change sound character from this amp too.

In this case i test gain affect in Little Dot MKIII. Little Dot MKIII have four setting gain. Gain 3,4,5,10. Gain 3 for low impedance headphone, gain 4 and 5 for medium and 10 for high impedance headphone.
My rig test is :

Source : CD transport Macbook
USB DAC : Fubar II USB DAC upgrade
Headamp : Little Dot MKIII upgrade
Headphone: AKG K501

Usually i use gain 4 to drive this headphone. Character from this gain is dinamic, transparant in mid and trebel. Volume in 10 clock is enough. After that i try to change gain to 3. Woww.. character change drastic, mid more warm, no hars in mid, soft treble and more slow tempo. I can't say this gain is more good, this is 2 gain with 2 different character. If u need sound with dinamic character, transparant go to high gain. But if you happy with sweet vocal go to low gain.

How to set gain in Little Dot MKIII

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_76XRYxvJrLw/SPjUwYegGsI/AAAAAAAAAD8/TgNob3fuN3o/s320/Gain.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5258186492624247490" />
Gain in Little Dot MKIII can adjust from four switch in PCB near headphone out

There is 4 setting gain in Little Dot MKIII. Maybe the winner from EF95 can beat easyly with EF92 or EF91, but just enjoy my short review

Detail character from each Ef95 tube :

1. RCA 5654 NOS is American tube, same as standard tube in Little Dot MKIII, the differences is NOS. But the sound not much different with standard tube Little dot MKIII.

2. RSD EF95 Germany, this tube chacarter is , more soul than standard tube. But the sound heard rigid, harsh in vocal when singer scream.

3. Sylvania 5654, this tube is broken, noise in everywhere. I put in the garbage

4. Ultron 6AK5, sound from this tube heard foggy, not transparant

5. GE 5654 and Siemens 5654, this is dificult to choice one from this tube. 2 tube sounds good, very relax, but i dont choose it because there is another tube with better sound.

6. Electron Tube 5654, this tube beat GE and Siemens because this tube have more soul, more balanced, good to acustic gitar and percusion.

7. Mullard CV850, this is the winner from my testing EF95 tube. Sounds from Mullard CV850 is great. I choose it because it has great vocal, vocal in this tube is very very good, more soul, singer sing in front of you, no harsh when singer scream. Bass more control too.

Differences of few tubes EF95

<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_76XRYxvJrLw/SPNJCBHldcI/AAAAAAAAADM/acXVxmvZBkw/s320/DSC00077.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5256625489080317378" />

I get the opportunity to do some test tube EF95.This tube to replace my standar driver tube in Little Dot MKIII, RCA 5654. I test tube from:
1. Very important to keep purity from the electrivity signal.

1. Cek your home voltage, it must stable in 220v or 110v ( in some country ). Its ok if only deviate a little.
2. If possible, separates electricity signal to your home audio system and to another peripeal in your home.
3. Dont use stabilizer. Maybe you must use it because voltage signal in your home not stable, but believe or not, stabilizer make sound not netral, not transparent. You can solve this problem with separates electricity lines to your home audio.
4. Change the electricity cable from the electricity source your home to the your AC jack in your home audio room with a good cable. It can increase sound quality.
5. The last, change the power cord from the AC jack to the power distribution.

This step only a few from the many ways to increase sound quality from the electricity network. It is not headphone for bass lover. You must have a amp with more power to drive this headphone. More better if you use desktop headphone amp. Thanks to Mr Hanhan. I buy this from him with very good price.
The function from Fubar II this was simple, it will take the digital signal from laptop USB to not pass the part amp of laptop. Output from fubar this will be lured to input from little dot amp. The package of the sale was inside gotten the cable rca, the cable usb and the adaptor as power supply.The short specification from Fubar II this used Burr Brown PCM027, OPA2604 and JRC072 as buffer. First impression time the first time in the test, the separation was better, staging more better and increased the weight of the sound.Mark II this was gotten by the difference with the standard component after being replaced several of his components. In fubar this that was changed was capacitor and op amp. Dourex was used to replace capacitor. To op amp after being carried out by several rolling amp, among them LM4562, OPA2604, etc., was found that gave the best combination was OPA2111 and AD8066 to replace OPA2604 and JRC072, with AD8066 was placed in the position buffer replaced JRC072. The first testing really gave results that were not expected. The SQ rise very drastic compared to the standard. The voice was seen very neat, there was no impression hurried, the lip explosion and the voice breathed canned be heard in more detail.For the price upgraded that was not too expensive could be said by SQ from fubar II drastic increased . Possibly this the solution for that wanted to look for USB DAC with the budget that was not too big. The quality of the recorder cd this could be said was good enough although being not as good in the turntable format. Collected CD this really was recommended by me.
Tracks :

"Yulunga (Spirit Dance)" – 6:56

"The Ubiquitous Mr Lovegrove" – 6:17

"The Wind That Sakes the Barley" – 2:49

"The Carnival Is Over" – 5:28

"Ariadne" – 1:54

"Saldek" – 1:07

"Towards the Within" – 7:06

"Tell Me About the Forest (You Once Called Home)" – 5:42

"The Spider's Stratagem" – 6:42

"Emmeleia" – 2:04

"How Fortunate the Man With None" – 9:15

The Most Popular Console Sony PSP in Japan

We all know that Nintendo Wii is one of the most popular console around the world, especially in Japan.
